WALPOLE ARTISAN TOUR -- Walpole, New Hampshire
Chartered in 1752, Walpole was described as the "quintessential New England village" by novelist James Michener. The Walpole Artisans invite you to tour their studios on the weekends of November 29-30 and December 6-7, 2008. Enjoy the historic village with its town common, picturesque homes, shops and restaurants. Follow the map and signs to the artisans studios. Information on the 15 participating artisans is listed below. Find the perfect handcrafted gift for the holidays including: paintings, sculpture in various mediums, childrens furniture, pottery, floral designs, jewelry and unique books.
Start your holiday shopping at Number 1 on the map below - the Walpole Artisans Coooperative. At this starting point you can preview works from the studios.
Spend an unforgettable day on the Walpole Artisan Tour and sample all the village has to offer. As time permits, travel the back roads for unsurpassed mountain and valley views. Walpole is located on NH Route 12 on the Connecticut River North of Keene and across from Bellows Falls, Vermont.
